The CinePearl Take
Makama’s direction shines in the way he balances frenetic chase scenes with moments of quiet, magical realism, letting the city itself become a character. The unnamed protagonist delivers a surprisingly nuanced performance, embodying the tension between modern ambition and ancestral duty. While the pacing occasionally stutters in the middle act, the film’s visual palette and thematic boldness more than compensate, offering a fresh perspective on the hero’s journey.
