The CinePearl Take

Ronan delivers a heartbreaking mix of innocence and fierce determination that makes the audience feel every ounce of her character’s loss. Jackson’s direction is visually striking, turning the liminal “in‑between” world into a kaleidoscopic realm that feels both beautiful and terrifying. The pacing wavers—some scenes linger too long, while the climax rushes forward—but the film’s thematic focus on closure and the lingering impact of trauma remains compelling. Ultimately, it’s a bold, if uneven, meditation on how love can transcend even death.
