Why Watch This
Moataz El Touni’s “The Master Plan” delivers a sly, low‑budget comedy that skewers the hustle of modern entrepreneurship with a distinctly Middle‑Eastern flavor. Its rapid‑fire dialogue and absurd set‑pieces keep the laughs coming while subtly critiquing the myth of the “self‑made” hero.
Best For
Comedy lovers, Indie film fans, Satire seekers, International cinema enthusiasts, Light‑hearted binge watchers
The CinePearl Take
El Touni’s direction is surprisingly assured for a debut, balancing slapstick moments with a surprisingly tight narrative rhythm. The standout is the cameo by local stand‑up star Ahmed Al‑Mansour, whose dead‑pan delivery anchors the film’s chaotic energy. While the plot meanders at times, the thematic undercurrent—questioning the cost of ambition—adds a layer of relevance that elevates the humor beyond mere gimmickry.
