The CinePearl Take

Penelope Ann Miller anchors the chaos with a grounded, determined performance that elevates the script’s occasional melodrama. Tom Sizemore brings a gritty, street‑wise edge to the partnership, while Linda Hunt’s quirky museum director adds a touch of dark humor. Hyams’ deliberate pacing lets the tension build room by room, making the final reveal of the reptilian menace feel earned rather than gratuitous.
