The CinePearl Take

Pierre Pinaud’s direction is quietly assured, letting the garden itself become a character that mirrors the protagonist’s emotional growth. Lead actor (uncredited) delivers a nuanced performance, balancing stoic melancholy with moments of wry, almost child‑like wonder. The pacing is deliberately measured, allowing the audience to savor each bloom and the subtle humor that sprouts from ordinary interactions. Ultimately, the film’s core theme—finding beauty in the aftermath of loss—resonates long after the credits roll.
