The CinePearl Take
Director Mehrdad Taheri crafts a claustrophobic atmosphere that feels more like a stage play than a polished thriller, which works to its advantage. The only standout performance comes from the unnamed lead—an unknown actor whose haunted eyes convey a world‑weary resolve without a single line of dialogue. While the pacing drags in the second act, the final showdown erupts with a raw intensity that makes up for the earlier sluggishness, highlighting the film’s theme of moral ambiguity in a corrupt society.
