Why Watch This
“Tonkatsu DJ Agetarō” blends quirky slice‑of‑life humor with a surprisingly deep love for music, turning a humble pork‑cutlet shop into a pulsating club scene. Its bright animation and infectious soundtrack make the oddball premise feel both fresh and oddly relatable.

The CinePearl Take
Director Ken Ninomiya captures the rhythm of teenage ambition with a breezy pacing that never feels rushed. The voice work of the titular Agetarō (voiced by a rising talent) shines, especially in the club‑scene monologues where his enthusiasm is palpable. While the plot skims over deeper drama, the series’ celebration of everyday passions and its catchy EDM‑infused score make it a delightful escape.
