Why Watch This
Yūichi Fukuda’s “Under Ninja” blends slap‑slap comedy with over‑the‑top ninja tropes, turning a mundane office setting into a chaotic dojo of absurdity. The film’s rapid-fire jokes and inventive visual gags keep the energy humming from start to finish.
Best For
Comedy lovers, Ninja fans, Fans of Japanese satire, Late‑night binge‑watchers, Cult film collectors
The CinePearl Take
Fukuda’s direction is relentless, delivering one gag after another without letting the pacing sag. While the cast is largely unknown, the lead’s dead‑pan delivery anchors the chaos, making the absurd moments feel earned. The film also sneaks in a surprisingly sharp commentary on corporate conformity, using ninja mythology as a metaphor for hidden rebellion.
