The CinePearl Take

Al‑Mansour’s direction is relentless, keeping the audience guessing until the final frame while never losing sight of the cultural context that fuels the narrative. The lead—played by an emerging Saudi actress—delivers a quietly ferocious performance, conveying terror and determination with barely a word spoken. The pacing is deliberately measured, allowing the desert’s oppressive silence to build dread before the story erupts into a series of sharp, kinetic set‑pieces.
