The CinePearl Take

Director Léa Moreau (a newcomer to the international scene) crafts a slow‑burn narrative that rewards patience, letting the film’s melancholic rhythm breathe. The breakout performance by unknown actress Camille Duvaux, who plays a grieving mother navigating a liminal world, anchors the film’s ethereal mood. While the pacing can feel deliberate to the point of languor, the recurring motif of water as a metaphor for memory keeps the thematic thread compelling.
