The CinePearl Take

Aljafari’s patient pacing lets the ordinary become extraordinary; Hasan’s quiet humor and raw honesty anchor the narrative, making the macro‑political feel personal. The sound design—ambient market chatter punctuated by distant sirens—creates a soundscape that is both oppressive and oddly hopeful. While the film sometimes lingers on static shots, those moments deepen the sense of waiting that defines life in Gaza.
