The CinePearl Take
Directed by Michaela Kirst alongside Monica Lazurean‑Gorgan and Ebba Sinzinger, Wood excels in its visual storytelling, letting the forest speak louder than any narration. The pacing is deliberately unhurried, allowing each leaf‑fall and sunrise to linger, which may test impatient viewers but rewards patience with profound immersion. The film’s thematic focus on resilience and loss feels especially resonant in the era of climate anxiety.
