The CinePearl Take

Joy Mukherjee’s portrayal of the obstinate hero is both earnest and endearing, anchoring the film’s emotional core. Asha Parekh shines with her trademark grace, especially in the duet “Jab Se Tumko Dekha Hai.” Mehmood’s side‑story provides a much‑needed comic relief that balances the melodrama, while the pacing occasionally drags in the second act. Overall, “Ziddi” remains a spirited snapshot of its era, with music that still hums in the memory.
