The CinePearl Take
Alegria’s patient pacing lets the rhythms of the tide and the villagers’ daily rituals breathe, creating a hypnotic atmosphere that feels almost meditative. The most striking moment is the night‑time hatchling sequence, captured with such clarity that you can almost feel the sand under your fingertips. While the film occasionally drifts into observational monotony, its emotional payoff—seeing the community rally around a shared cause—makes the journey worthwhile.
