Why Watch This
Saving Shuli‑San delivers a fresh, off‑beat look at a small Israeli town’s battle to keep its beloved community center open, mixing slapstick mishaps with surprisingly tender moments. Ben Bachar’s direction keeps the laughs rolling while subtly skewering bureaucracy and the absurdities of modern life.

The CinePearl Take
Ben Bachar shows a knack for timing, letting the chaos of the town’s fundraising campaign unfold in brisk, laugh‑filled scenes. The breakout performance by the unknown lead playing Shuli‑San—a fast‑talking, well‑meaning fixer—anchors the film’s heart. While the pacing occasionally spikes, the underlying theme of collective resilience shines through, making the comedy feel purposeful rather than frivolous.
