The CinePearl Take

Farhan Akhtar’s directorial debut balances breezy humor with poignant moments, letting each friend’s arc breathe. Aamir Khan’s effortless charm as Akash anchors the film, while Saif Ali Khan’s comic timing and Akshaye Khanna’s understated depth create a perfect ensemble dynamic. The film’s pacing—snappy in the early road‑trip scenes, then gently reflective as the trio confronts life’s crossroads—mirrors the ebb and flow of real friendships. Its themes of love, loss, and the inevitable drift apart feel both nostalgic and surprisingly relevant today.
