The CinePearl Take
Do‑young’s direction balances melancholy with quiet hope, never allowing the story to slip into melodrama. The lead actress delivers a hauntingly authentic performance, conveying grief and yearning with barely a word. Supporting turns—especially the aging mentor’s bittersweet monologue—anchor the narrative’s emotional core. The deliberate pacing lets the audience sit with each memory, making the eventual reunion feel earned.
