The CinePearl Take
“Perlimps” feels like a love letter to imagination, with Abreu’s trademark rhythmic pacing that never rushes the emotional beats. The subtle performance of the nameless protagonist—expressed through gestures and glances—carries the narrative weight in the absence of dialogue. A haunting, folk‑inspired score underlines the film’s themes of loss and wonder, making the experience both meditative and uplifting.
