The CinePearl Take

Lee Ru‑da’s direction is daring, letting the mansion itself become a character whose clattering floorboards and phantom whispers drive the narrative forward. The ensemble cast—though uncredited—delivers a surprisingly cohesive performance, especially the teenage daughter whose dead‑pan reactions anchor the chaos. Pacing is deliberately uneven, mirroring the house’s erratic noises, which amplifies both tension and humor. At its core, the film explores how unresolved family trauma can echo through generations, literalized by the ever‑present cacophony.
