The CinePearl Take

Surekha Sikri delivers a masterclass in restrained fury as Mrs. Iyer, while Rahul Bose’s Mr. Iyer provides a quiet, conflicted counterpoint that keeps the film’s tension simmering. Sen’s direction is deliberate, letting the landscape and the escalating backdrop of violence dictate the pacing, which never feels rushed. The film’s core theme—humanity surviving amid sectarian hatred—remains startlingly relevant, and the subtle interplay between the leads elevates the narrative beyond a simple road‑trip.
