The CinePearl Take

Said Marzouk’s direction is economical yet evocative, letting the city itself become a character in the narrative. Zubaida Tharwat delivers a haunting performance as the accused’s desperate wife, balancing vulnerability with steely resolve. The pacing is deliberately measured, allowing the courtroom revelations to build tension without resorting to cheap thrills. Ultimately, the film’s exploration of justice versus personal loyalty feels surprisingly contemporary.
