The CinePearl Take
Hirota’s direction is patient, letting each frame breathe while the story unfolds in miniature vignettes. The lead actress—though uncredited—delivers a nuanced performance that balances restraint with an undercurrent of hope. The pacing may feel languid to some, but it’s precisely this measured rhythm that lets the film’s themes of missed connections and personal reinvention resonate.
