The CinePearl Take

Director Shelly Chopra Dhar handles the film’s pacing with a light‑hearted rhythm that never undercuts the gravity of its themes. Sonam Kapoor delivers a nuanced performance, capturing the inner conflict of a woman torn between duty and desire. The supporting cast adds depth, especially in the family scenes that balance comedy with poignant moments of acceptance. Ultimately, the film succeeds in normalising queer narratives while staying entertaining.
