The CinePearl Take

Director Olivier Assayas’ segment shines with Juliette Binoche’s quietly magnetic performance, grounding the film’s more experimental moments. The pacing deliberately ebbs and flows—some vignettes linger like a lover’s sigh, while others sprint past like a metro rush—mirroring the city’s own rhythm. Beneath the humor and occasional horror, the overarching theme is simple yet profound: love, in all its forms, is the true heartbeat of Paris.
