Why Watch This
Honest Candidate delivers a fresh spin on political satire by pairing slapstick humor with a heartfelt underdog story. Ra Mi‑ran’s dead‑pan delivery as a memory‑impaired mayoral hopeful makes every campaign promise feel both absurd and oddly sincere.

The CinePearl Take
Ra Mi‑ran steals the show, turning a potentially gimmicky premise into a genuinely charming performance that anchors the film’s chaotic energy. The pacing balances rapid‑fire jokes with quieter moments that let the satire breathe, and the theme of honesty in politics feels surprisingly resonant in today’s climate. While some jokes wobble, the film’s earnest heart keeps you invested.
