The CinePearl Take
Al‑Khadi’s debut is anchored by a quietly powerful performance from the unknown actress playing Layla, whose eyes convey more than words ever could. The film’s deliberate pacing lets tension build organically, while the muted color palette mirrors the protagonist’s internal grayness. Themes of resilience and identity emerge without melodrama, rewarding viewers who appreciate subtle storytelling.
