Why Watch This

Best For
Documentary lovers, Japan enthusiasts, Social‑justice seekers, History buffs, Festival fans
The CinePearl Take
Hara’s signature confrontational style shines as he lets the activists speak for themselves, creating a chorus of voices that feels both chaotic and cohesive. The pacing is deliberately uneven, mirroring the erratic rhythm of street protests, which keeps viewers on edge. Themes of identity, state authority, and generational change are explored with a compassionate yet critical eye, making the documentary as much a sociopolitical study as a cinematic experience.
