The CinePearl Take

Rahul Bhat’s portrayal of a morally compromised cop is the film’s beating heart, capturing both vulnerability and ruthless ambition. Kashyap’s pacing is deliberately uneven, mirroring the chaotic streets he depicts, which may test patience but rewards viewers with moments of visceral impact. Thematically, Ugly interrogates how “beauty” in power is often a façade built on violence and betrayal.
