The CinePearl Take
Director César Díaz crafts a tense, almost documentary‑like atmosphere that never lets the audience forget the lingering scars of Guatemala’s 36‑year conflict. Lead actress Natalia Arriaga delivers a restrained, haunted performance that anchors the film, conveying a mix of fear and resolve without melodrama. The deliberate pacing lets each revelation land with weight, turning personal loss into a broader critique of state violence.
