Why Watch This
Gerardo Minutti’s “Dogs” twists the everyday obsession with canine companions into a razor‑sharp satire that skewers social media culture, consumerism, and the lengths people will go to appear “pawesome.” Its dead‑pan humor and surreal set‑pieces make it a daring entry in the black‑comedy canon.
Best For
Black comedy fans, Satire lovers, Indie film enthusiasts, Dark humor aficionados, Offbeat viewers
The CinePearl Take
Minutti balances absurdity with unsettling realism, letting the film’s grotesque scenarios breathe while never losing its comedic timing. The voice‑over performance of an unnamed street‑wise dog trainer (voiced by a surprise cameo) anchors the chaos with a wry, world‑weary tone. Though the pacing occasionally stalls during the film’s more experimental montages, the climax delivers a satisfying, if unsettling, punch‑line that lingers.
