The CinePearl Take
Kim’s debut as a solo director is anchored by a surprisingly nuanced lead—though the cast remains anonymous, the central officer’s stoic intensity carries the film’s emotional weight. The pacing oscillates between breathless chase sequences and slower, tension‑filled interrogations, creating a rhythm that mirrors the protagonist’s internal conflict. Themes of duty versus personal redemption surface amid the explosions, giving the spectacle a modest narrative anchor.
