The CinePearl Take

Penelope Wilton shines as the stoic yet vulnerable matriarch, delivering a performance that anchors the ensemble’s chemistry. The pacing drifts lazily at times, mirroring the characters’ own adjustment to a slower, sun‑drenched rhythm, but the film regains momentum whenever the hotel’s quirky staff intervene. Its understated LGBTQ subplot adds a layer of modern relevance, reminding us that love and identity have no retirement age.
