The CinePearl Take
Yau’s direction keeps the pulse racing, especially during the dockside shoot‑out where the camera work feels almost documentary‑like. Though the cast is largely unknown, the lead customs officer—portrayed with steely determination—anchors the chaos with a performance that hints at deeper trauma. The pacing is deliberately relentless, yet the occasional quiet moments let the film explore themes of loyalty, corruption, and the thin line between law and crime.
