Why Watch This
“Tyrannosaur” delivers a raw, unflinching look at rage and redemption through a tightly wound performance by Peter Mullan and a career‑defining turn from Olivia Colman. Its stark British setting and emotionally brutal script make it a haunting character study that lingers long after the credits roll.

The CinePearl Take
Paddy Considine’s directorial debut is a masterclass in restrained intensity, letting silence speak louder than dialogue. Olivia Colman shines as the wounded yet resilient Hannah, offering a nuanced counterpoint to Mullan’s volatile, self‑destructive Alan. The film’s deliberate pacing amplifies the simmering dread, while its unvarnished depiction of abuse forces viewers to confront uncomfortable truths about love and violence.
