The CinePearl Take

Lead actress Kim Hye‑jin (playing the grieving sister) anchors the film with a performance that is both fragile and fiercely resolute, turning ordinary moments into emotional crescendos. Baek’s pacing is deliberate, allowing the audience to sit with the characters’ silence before a single, gut‑wrenching revelation lands. The recurring motif of handwritten letters serves as a visual metaphor for the ways we try to preserve love across time, and it’s handled with a tenderness that feels rare in contemporary Korean drama.
