Don’t Buy the Seller thrusts you into Seoul’s shadowy underworld, where a rookie detective must outwit a charismatic car‑dealership front that doubles as a hub for illegal arms trafficking. The film’s relentless cat‑and‑mouse chase and razor‑sharp social commentary make it a fresh spin on the classic police thriller.

The CinePearl Take
Director Park Hee‑gon balances tight, breath‑holding action with moments of bleak humor, keeping the tension high without ever feeling gratuitous. The unnamed lead—played with a gritty, under‑the‑radar intensity—anchors the film, delivering a performance that feels both vulnerable and relentless. While the pacing sometimes spikes, the atmospheric cityscape and smart script keep the narrative moving toward a satisfyingly twisted climax.
