The CinePearl Take

Igarashi’s direction shines in the film’s kinetic pacing, moving swiftly from awkward first‑date mishaps to a surprisingly tender climax. The lead—though uncredited—delivers a magnetic performance, balancing sarcasm with genuine vulnerability. The movie’s visual palette, awash in pastel neon, mirrors its theme of chasing happiness in a hyper‑connected world. While the plot occasionally leans on familiar tropes, the witty dialogue and inventive set‑pieces keep it feeling lively.
