The CinePearl Take
Moreau’s direction is patient yet purposeful, allowing the narrative’s slow burn to reveal hidden layers of yearning and rebellion. The lead—though uncredited—delivers a remarkably nuanced performance, embodying both fragility and resolve without melodrama. Cinematographer Camille Durand’s use of natural light gives each street scene a painterly quality, reinforcing the film’s theme of finding freedom in everyday moments.
