Why Watch This
Under the Sky of Damascus immerses you in the chaotic beauty of a war‑torn city, blending intimate human drama with sweeping political tension. Its handheld cinematography captures the claustrophobic streets and the fleeting moments of hope that surface amidst the rubble.

The CinePearl Take
The film’s strongest asset is the raw, understated performance by newcomer Amal Saad, who plays a young nurse navigating loss and duty. Director Lina Karim maintains a deliberate, almost meditative pace that lets the city itself become a character. Themes of resilience and moral ambiguity are explored without melodrama, making the story feel both urgent and timeless.
