The CinePearl Take
Director Till Harms lets the camera linger on the tactile process of spoon‑crafting, turning each bend and weld into a visual metaphor for resilience. The film’s pacing is deliberately unhurried, mirroring the slow‑burn momentum of community building. While there’s no traditional narrative arc, the emotional payoff arrives when Spoonie’s installations spark a city‑wide conversation about waste and belonging. Harms’ choice to forego interviews in favor of ambient sound heightens the documentary’s immersive quality.
