The CinePearl Take

Qureshi’s nuanced portrayal is the film’s strongest asset, capturing both Tarla’s relentless drive and her tender vulnerability. Piyush Gupta balances the narrative’s slower, reflective moments with lively cooking montages, keeping the pacing surprisingly brisk for a period piece. Thematically, the movie celebrates the idea that a love for food can become a cultural movement, while also probing the sacrifices behind a public legacy.
