The CinePearl Take
Tim Fehlbaum’s direction is a masterclass in minimalist world‑building; he lets the silence of a dead city speak louder than dialogue. Lead newcomer Maya Liu delivers a surprisingly layered performance, anchoring the chaos with quiet determination. The pacing is deliberately measured, allowing dread to accumulate before the final, harrowing crescendo. At its heart, the film interrogates how fragile civilization is when stripped of its technological crutches.
