The CinePearl Take
Mel Gibson anchors the film with a steely yet vulnerable portrayal of Lt. Col. Hal Moore, embodying the weight of command under fire. The supporting cast—especially the gritty turn by Patrick St. Esprit as a battle‑hardened sergeant—adds depth to the chaotic frontline. Wallace’s pacing shifts from relentless combat to quiet, reflective scenes, underscoring the film’s central theme: the cost of courage.
