The CinePearl Take

Reynolds shines as the world‑weary adult Adam, delivering snappy one‑liners while still conveying the character’s lingering grief. Young Walker Scobell holds his own, injecting the film with fresh energy and a genuine sense of wonder. The pacing is brisk, though the tonal shifts between comedy and drama sometimes feel uneven, the central theme of reconciling with one’s past remains resonant.
