The CinePearl Take
Rajkummar Rao delivers a career‑defining, quietly ferocious performance as Dr. Syed Ali, embodying both dignity and despair without melodrama. The film’s measured pacing mirrors the slow grind of bureaucracy, heightening the sense of entrapment. Mohnish Bahl’s understated presence as a senior faculty member adds a layer of institutional complicity, while Mehta’s crisp cinematography keeps the focus on faces and spaces that speak volumes.
