The CinePearl Take
Director Ana Martínez delivers a measured pace that mirrors the slow burn of power, never letting the story feel rushed. Lead actor Javier Gutiérrez shines as the reluctant president, balancing charisma with a palpable sense of inner conflict that anchors the film’s moral questions. The supporting cast, especially María Valverde as the president’s estranged daughter, adds layers of emotional nuance that elevate the political intrigue into something deeply personal.
