The CinePearl Take
Director Clara Ruiz delivers a measured pace that mirrors the ebb and flow of the sea, allowing tension to build without ever feeling forced. Lead actress Ana Belén shines in a restrained performance, conveying a mother’s anguish with barely a whisper. The film’s thematic focus on climate anxiety and bureaucratic indifference feels both timely and unsettling, while the recurring motif of water as memory adds a lyrical layer to the narrative.
