The CinePearl Take

Bhansali’s direction already hints at a lush, painterly canvas that will elevate the film’s wartime setting beyond the usual genre trappings. Alia’s nuanced performance—balancing vulnerability with fierce resolve—should be the emotional core, while Vicky brings a grounded intensity to his soldier‑turned‑lover role. The pacing may swing between languid, lyrical interludes and sudden, visceral battle sequences, underscoring the film’s central theme: love’s endurance amid chaos.
