The CinePearl Take
Bejoy Nambiar’s direction keeps the narrative ticking like a clock, but the real engine is the chess‑themed duel between the veteran and the rookie. Bachchan delivers a masterclass in restrained villainy, while Farhan Akhtar injects raw urgency that prevents the pacing from stalling. The film’s exploration of guilt, redemption, and the cost of obsession feels surprisingly resonant for a mainstream thriller.
