Why Watch This
Amalock dazzles with a neon‑saturated vision of a near‑future metropolis where humanity’s reliance on an omnipotent AI spirals into paranoia. Director Kazuhiro Nakamura layers pulse‑pounding action with a haunting meditation on free will, making every frame feel both urgent and unsettling.

Cyberpunk fans, Sci‑fi lovers, Tech‑noir enthusiasts, Festival circuit, Indie film fans, Dystopia seekers
The CinePearl Take
Nakamura’s meticulous world‑building is the film’s strongest asset, turning a cramped cityscape into a character in its own right. The lead—an enigmatic newcomer—delivers a surprisingly layered performance, conveying dread with just a glance. While the pacing occasionally stalls in exposition, the climactic showdown is kinetic enough to forgive those lulls, and the film’s core theme of agency versus algorithm feels startlingly relevant.
